In February 2015, Paula Rebhun bought PINKS STRAIGHT FROM LA; wanting to infuse it with her personal style and energy she dropped ‘Straight from LA’ and replaced it with Denver. Being the only location, most of their customer are from Denver and they don’t sell online. A Chicago native, Paula started her career in fashion as a model in her early teens and attended the Denver Fashion Institute. Prior to owning PINKS, she owned two boutiques in the Denver area but took a brief hiatus from the industry to spend time with her family until opening PINKS DENVER two years ago, with her husband Dutch Rebhun. Now, since their children have grown and “left the nest” she is now back in the industry that she holds so dear.
The vision of PINKS is to provide bold, on trend fashions at reasonable prices. Most of their customers have something special coming up in their lives and want PINKS to dress them for it; maternity wear, weddings, bachelorette parties, graduations, a first date or theme parties. They have become a destination boutique for events in the Denver area. Drawing inspiration from every customer, Paula wants her clothes to compliment the bold and beautiful personalities while instilling confidence and projecting positivity. PINKS firmly believe that part of feeling good and doing good is looking good, offering clothes that are trendy, feminine with “a dash of boho and a sprinkle of edge”. The buying philosophy is very eclectic, a little bit of everything, while targeting certain personality types as opposed to age or demographic. Paula states that “our customer is outgoing and confident and in love with clothes as much as we are”, one who is willing to take risks and explore the limits of her closet; therefore, exploring her own personal limitations.
Paula is very strategic when buying for her boutique, never reordering any piece and only buys a maximum of six, ensuring that not everyone will be wearing the exact same thing, in turn keeping her customers excited and curious. PINKS focus on interactive customer service, suggestive selling while forming intimate connections with customers plays a major part in their success. Their social media platforms have developed over the last several years with their Snapchat & Insta Stories accounts being the game changers, providing easy and cost efficient avenue to immediately share their new arrivals daily. Their customers are “addicted” to their social media which has increased the store traffic significantly.
PINKS takes pride in knowing that their customers found something within their boutique that has helped them, even in some small way, to realize and become the person they always dreamed of being. Following your fashion passion inevitably leads to following your life’s passions, and visiting PINKS DENVER is the first step to being the person you want to be!
